Leany Lemos é atualmente Secretária Nacional de Planejamento/ MPO. Foi Diretora de Operações e Presidente do Banco de Desenvolvimento do Extremo Sul - BRDE (2020-2022), Secretária de Estado de Planejamento, Orçamento e Gestão do Distrito Federal (2015-2018) e do Rio Grande do Sul (2019-2020), onde também coordenou o Comitê de Dados no Combate ao COVID19.
Pós-doutora em Ciência Política pelas Universidades de Oxford e Princeton (Oxford-Princeton Global Leader Fellow, 2009-2011). Doutora em Estudos Comparativos das Américas (2005) e Mestre em Ciência Política (1998), ambos os títulos pela Universidade de Brasília (UnB). Foi Lemann Fellow of Practice 2022, na Blavatnik School of Government, Universidade de Oxford. Atua nas áreas de políticas públicas, gestão pública, planejamento, finanças públicas, instituições públicas e desenvolvimento.

Leany Lemos is currently National Secretary of Planning/MPO. She was Director of Operations and President of the Development Bank of the Far South - BRDE (2020-2022), Secretary of State for Planning, Budget and Management of the Federal District (2015-2018) and Rio Grande do Sul (2019-2020), where he also coordinated the Data Committee to Combat COVID19.
Post-doctorate in Political Science from the Universities of Oxford and Princeton (Oxford-Princeton Global Leader Fellow, 2009-2011). PhD in Comparative Studies of the Americas (2005) and Master in Political Science (1998), both titles from the University of Brasília (UnB). He was Lemann Fellow of Practice 2022, at the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford. He works in the areas of public policies, public management, planning, public finances, public institutions and development.
